Monksville Reservoir is a beautiful and serene reservoir located in the New Jersey Highlands, in Long Pond Ironworks State Park. The reservoir has a surface area of 505 acres, and spans about three miles from end to end. The reservoir is surrounded by forest, including hiking trails such as the Monks Trail Circular. While being easily accessible from NYC and other densely populated areas of NJ, Monksville is secluded, rustic and peaceful. Most customers choose the two hour rental–from what we hear, the one hour rental just goes by too quickly once you’re out there. Choose the four hour if you want to explore from end to end!

Monksville Reservoir SUP/Kayak Guided Tour

Enjoy the water with an experienced paddle guide! Our guide will lead you, choosing the best path based on the current conditions on the reservoir. This is not a lesson, but since the guide is an experienced and certified ACA instructor, you are welcome to ask for pointers as you paddle!
